Capless Card Photos — No! No! No!

I Have An Extreme Dislike of Card
Photos of Players Without Caps

— THEY JUST DON’T LOOK LIKE BALLPLAYERS SHOULD —

First, there’s these two cards
with the ironic first name:

1967 Topps
1969 Topps

Then there’s these ultimate
multi-player capless cards

1965 Topps
1984 Topps

Topps issued 12 Danny Cater cards between
1964-75 and fully half of them had capless photos:

1965 Topps
1967 Topps
1968 Topps
1969 Topps
1970 Topps
1973 Topps

And then there’s George Brunet. Topps issued just 10 cards of him between 1958-71 and seven of them had capless photos (twice using the same capless photo from the previous year.)

1963 Topps
1964 Topps
1965 Topps
1966 Topps
1967 Topps
1969 Topps
1970 Topps

But wait. There’s more. A lot more …

I especially cringe when I see Hall-of-Famers sans chapeau:

1966 Topps
1961 Topps
1969 Topps
1964 Topps
1981 Topps
1961 Topps
1965 Topps
1968 Topps
1969 Topps
1960 Topps
1968 Topps
1981 Topps
1966 Topps
1963 Topps
1961 Topps
1969 Topps
1967 Topps
1962 Topps
1978 Topps
1969 Topps
1959 Topps
1962 Topps
1981 Topps
1965 Topps
1961 Topps
1988 Topps
1990 Topps
1978 Topps
1962 Topps
1961 Topps
1960 Topps
1960 Topps
1986 Topps
1970 Topps
1961 Topps
1981 Topps
1969 Topps
1979 Topps

OH, THE AGONY !!
