Between 1958-69, a catcher-outfielder with the last name of Taylor appeared on eight Topps cards. However, the company just couldn’t make up its mind on how to show the player’s first name.
His given name was Robert. Like a lot of Roberts, he was known to many as “Bob.” (According to a Society For American Baseball Research — SABR — article, Bob was nicknamed “Hawk” after a character in a movie serial.)
